Das Numen Impakt
3 1Ú2, KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin 2014
Curated by Lukas Tpfer
Das Numen instructed curator Lukas Tpfer to live and work in the small exhibition chamber 3 1Ú2 for twelve consecutive days and nights to calculate, without leaving the institution, the probability of a meteorite impact right where he sits.
Das Numen Impakt represents an intimate mathematical situation in an institutional context, thus associating its content with a cloud of themes ranging from the historical concepts of retreat to modern catastrophe science fiction.
Das Numen Impakt was realized with the friendly support of Dr. Gabriel Bihain.
